Fashion Show Date 2012 set for March 27th
Our Annual Fashion Show has been set for March 27th 2012. We will be hosting the event in the Salthill Hotel for the first time. The Salthill Hotel is a wonderful venue which can cater for a great crowd of over 400 so we are looking forward to a great night. The list of participating shops will be announced soon, we will have many of our old faourites and some exciting new names for 2012. More news in early January.

Donation of Wigs for Albanian Patient
We would like to thank Myriam Moylette of the Wig Clinic, Newcastle, Galway and Athlone for generously donating 2 wigs to our charity. These wigs will be brought to Albania for some patients who have lost their hair due to burns. Good quality wigs are difficult and expensive to purchase, especially within Albania, so this donation is greatly appreciated by the girls who will wear them, and especially since they will be received by them in time for the Christmas and New Year Celebrations.

Successful Medical Visits to Kosova and Albania in November
Mr Jack McCann and a surgical team made a successful visit to Albania and Kosova in November. In all, over 50 patients were seen and 12 patients were operated on. John Behan Rugby Sculputure for Open Auction at Charity Ball
"Diving for the Line" , a sculpture in bronze by John Behan, will be auctioned at our Charity Ball this coming Saturday, October 15th at the Radisson Hotel. Our Annual Charity Ball is Coming Up in October!
On 15th of October 2011, Irish Friends of Albania holds its Annual Charity Ball at the Radisson Hotel, Galway. This annual Ball is our main fund raising and awareness raising event. For six years this event has been a wonderful social occasion, with the attendance of up to 500 guests each year from Galway and all over Ireland. The First Live Connection with Tirana Telemedicine Centre
On the 6th of July 2011, Irish Friends of Albania made the first live Telemedicine connection from Galway to the new Telemedicine Centre in Tirana, Albania. On Thursday 16th June 2011, our auditors Mazars & Co. Ltd held the fund raising Galway Corporate Table Quiz Challenge at the Meyrick Hotel Eyre Square, Galway.
